Ivar Smits and Floris van Hees are two sailors from the Netherlands who recently completed a circumnavigation aboard Lucipara2. On their eight-year trip, they visited 38 countries and sailed 56,000 nautical miles. Throughout their voyage, they searched for solutions to today’s environmental challenges. As “Sailors for Sustainability” they have been sharing their findings in articles, videos, interviews, and presentations. The 67 solutions they describe cover a wide range of environmental and social topics.
