Hugh Pilsworth

Hugh Pilsworth (pictured on the right) was presented the Australian Award at the Sydney Flying Squadron in Kirribilli, recognising his circumnavigation aboard his 49ft Jeanneau BlueFlyer, and his contribution as a teacher helping others with an interest in ocean cruising, who joined BlueFlyer on passage. The first part of his circumnavigation took Hugh and his wife Val from Dublin to Melbourne in 2007-08. They then settled in Australia. Sadly, during this time Hugh lost Val. He set sail again in June 2016 to complete his circumnavigation.
