(Founder Member) (s/v Marelle) for his 18,000 mile passage from Falmouth to Cape Horn and back aboard MARELLE, his 36ft teak McGruer classic, mostly with a crew of three. He wrote about the trip in FF 2000/2 ‘Rounding the Horn’, and later at book-length in ‘Through the Land of Fire, reviewed in FF 2004/2.
