Paul and Rachel Chandler

You may well remember the horror of their being taken captive by Somali pirates in October 2009, whilst sailing Lynn Rival in Seychelles waters having left Port Victoria for Tanzania only 12 hours earlier. Paul and Rachel survived more than a year in captivity, and returned home to be reunited with Lynn Rival, which had been hoisted aboard the Royal Fleet Auxiliary vessel Wave Knight and brought back to the UK. Lynn Rival has subsequently undergone an extensive refit, much of it carried out by Paul and Rachel themselves, and they set sail again in 2012.
