Gulshan Rai

(s/v Jaykus III) Gulshan, his wife and a local crew crewman circumnavigated in 1987-1988 aboard JAYKUS III, a 32ft Vancouver built by Northshore Yacht Yard on England’s south coast. He thus became the first Indian civilian to circumnavigate as skipper. His account of the voyage formed the third part of his trilogy ‘Sailing the Oceans’ (formed of ‘Breeze in the Sails, ‘From Southampton to Bombay’ and ‘Sailing Around the World’) and was reviewed in FF 2002/2.
