Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Game On (British Team) and Invictus Games Sydney 2018 Down Under (Australian crew) are sailing head-to-head in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race, which started on Boxing Day. Sir Robin Knox-Johnston is taking part as navigator aboard the British team's yacht in the Australian sailing challenge.

Featuring wounded, injured and ill veterans from their respective countries as crew members, both boats are racing in the sport that will be featured in next year’s Invictus Games for the first time.

As well as the eleven Clipper 70s racing to Hobart as part of the 40,000 nautical mile Clipper 2017-18 Race founded by Sir Robin, two Clipper 68s that have each completed several circumnavigations are taking part in the iconic bluewater classic. Invictus Games Sydney 2018 GAME ON (CV10) crewed by British veterans is taking on the Australian-crewed Invictus Games Sydney 2018 DOWN UNDER (CV5) in what’s tipped as an ‘Ashes on the Water’.
