A Irma rips through the Caribbean and leaves a trail of devastation, it will take a great deal of relief work and rebuilding. Cruisers who have been made welcome throughout the Caribbean and have made many friends are rising up to assist. Several northern Caribbean islands have been severely affected and the damage is still being assessed.

The eye of Irma passed directly over tiny Barbuda; most of the structures are damaged and there is no water or electricity. With Hurricane Jose bearing down, evacuation of the 1600+ residents may be necessary. If you wish to donate to the #HurricaneIrma Relief Fund for #Barbuda, Volunteer to assist, or Locate Friends and Family in Barbuda, please log on to http:www.abredcross.org/disaster

St. Martin, St. Barts, and the Virgin Islands sustained massive damage. Puerto Rico is just beginning to assess the situation. We will endeavor to post how people can help as we learn more.
