Topsail Insurance is hosting a FREE seminar with renowned speakers Martin Thomas and Jimmy Cornell on the 20th of September at the Dancing Man Brewery.*

Martin Thomas 11am - 1pm Retired surgeon, previous Watch Officer onboard the sail training schooner Sir Winston Churchill and former Ocean Cruising Club Commodore, Martin has an interest in naval history and in particular naval medicine in the age of sail. He has written for yachtsmen on the subject of emergency medicine at sea. He is going to walk you through the evolving approaches to health and medicine in the early days of the British Navy in an informative and entertaining presentation. Followed by a Q&A session. Break - light snacks provided

Jimmy Cornell 2pm - 4pm Accomplished British yachtsman and successful, internationally bestselling author and founder of Cornell Sailing and the World Cruising Club, Jimmy has sailed over 200,000 miles in all oceans of the world including three circumnavigations. Jimmy will be imparting his experience on long distance cruising and promoting the launch of his new book 200,000 Miles - A Life of Adventure. Following the talk will be an opportunity to get a copy of the new book signed by the author himself.

If you plan to spend the morning in the Southampton Boat Show please keep your show ticket and you will be allowed to re-enter the show after the seminar, at Gate F.
