Randall Reeves safely reaches Hobart after three knockdowns

If you've been following the Figure8Voyage, you'll be glad to note that Randall Reeves has safely reached Tasmania and repairs to MOLI are underway.

By Daria Blackwell - 24/03/2018

Photo shows Reeves and his 41-ft expedition sloop MOLI (formerly Tony Gooch's Taonui) at the dock in Hobart, Tasmania. Note the broken port-side window, which shattered during one of three knockdowns in the Southern Ocean. Reeves is weighing his options as it is late in the season to continue to South Africa.

In a great tribute to our OCC Port Officers, our PO in Ushuaia was of great help to Randall there and now John Solomon has taken Randall into his care in Hobart. Sol has been PO there for many years and knows everyone in town

Read Randall's story in Latitude38 and in his blog.
