Built by craftsmen, Bowman 48s have sailed the oceans of the world in comfort and safely, affording their owners immense pride of ownership. This is one of the most outstanding ocean-going yachts in her class, proving to be “a sailing yacht designed to go anywhere, at any time, without problems” (Yacht Premier). Designed by Chuck Paine as a shorthanded performance cruiser, the elliptical bulbed keel ensures a stiff responsive yacht with easy pitching motion and draft of just 5ft 10in. Reinforced with longitudinal stringers, the GRP hull conforms to the highest 100A1 specification recognized by Lloyd's Register of Shipping. For added safety, the hull is constructed with a watertight bulkhead between the forward stowage locker and forward cabin.

“Longbow” has a two-spreader cutter rig that permits twin headsails and a storm staysail. The large U-shaped galley faces forwards, open to saloon, affording a well-lit and spacious interior. Sleeps six in three cabins, two en-suite, with copious storage throughout.
